Day One

I drink a lot of alcohol.
I have friends who drink more than I do, but I drink a lot.
More than the recommended amount.

I've never felt like I had a problem with it, in an addiction sense.
I can take days off and not stress about it.
I usually don't start until nighttime, but I often don't stop before bedtime.

It's time to make a change.
I know it's in the best interest of my long-term health to curb my intake.
My body is still young, but getting older every year.

Today I start my year of 700 drinks.
No more.
Likely no fewer.

700 drinks in a year is a little more than 13 per week.
An average of two drinks per day seems achievable.
Some days I'll have more, some days I'll have none.

I'm having my first right now, a tall Bulleit bourbon and soda.
I'm drinking at PianoFight - a new theater in San Francisco's Tenderloin district - and just about to see my friends' sketch show.
Tonight feels like a four-drink night.

Yup, four Bulleit and sodas.
Finishing my last one at PianoFight and heading to The Room at the Clay
Here's a Chromebook typing test from Shaun P:
